Cookie Policy
Last updated: April 17, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how DataBridge Tech uses cookies and similar technologies on databridge.tech. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device to remember information between visits. "Similar technologies" include local storage, session storage and pixel trackers, which can have comparable effects.
2. Cookies We Use
We aim to keep the site as privacy-preserving as possible. Today, databridge.tech uses:
| Technology | Type | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| Local storage (theme preference) | Strictly necessary | Remembers whether you chose light or dark mode | Until you clear your browser storage |
| Local storage (sidebar/doc state) | Strictly necessary | Remembers collapsed sections in the docs | Until you clear your browser storage |
We do not use cookies for advertising, cross-site tracking, profiling, or re-targeting.
3. Third-Party Services
Analytics - Umami
We use Umami (hosted in the EU) for website analytics. Umami is cookieless and does not store personal identifiers or IP addresses. It tracks aggregated page views, referrers and rough geography (country level only) and does not follow you across other websites.
Because Umami does not set cookies and does not identify individuals, it does not require consent under the ePrivacy Directive or GDPR.
External services loaded when you follow links
Some pages link to third-party services (for example, our GitHub, X/Twitter, or Notion careers page). Once you click through, those services apply their own cookies and privacy policies, which we do not control.
4. Strictly Necessary vs. Optional
We only use strictly necessary technologies - those required to deliver the site you requested or to remember a preference you actively set (like dark mode). We do not currently set any optional cookies, so there is no consent banner to accept or reject.
If we ever introduce optional cookies or cookie-based analytics, we will update this Policy and prompt you for consent before setting them.
5. Controlling Cookies and Local Storage
You can remove cookies and clear local storage through your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data
Blocking or clearing strictly-necessary storage may reset preferences such as theme and collapsed doc sections.
6. Changes to This Policy
We will update this Cookie Policy if our practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
